a pair of puertos.
i don’t remember how much i paid for these framed prints, but if i were to put a number out there i say a ballpark figure of siete dollars totale. gotta love thrift stores. by the way, don’t you love the hermes orange?!?! when i shared my blog with a friend today, his response was “i just got back from puerto vallarta”. good times.
walk like an egyptian.
the other day, i was riding the subway to work and noticed the woman next to me wearing some cool bangles very similar to the ones in the photo. so when I saw these at the brooklyn flea market, i just had to have them :) the ends of the brass bangles are pharaoh heads. i am not sure if they are “vintage”. the vendor only had this pair. this bangle score made up for the lobster roll guy being a no show at 1 hanson place. a chocolate brownie cookie coupled with a hot tea and a lobster roll rock my bk flea visits.
$8.71 including tax.
so today i touched a fossilized dinosaur egg, fell in love with shake shack all over again and scored a vintage metal lamp for 8 bucks. i am down with the upper west side.
kicks from the rose bowl flea market.
the infamous market of pasadena happens once a month, 2nd sunday of the month, and luckily i was in town for it. lalaland equals good times with good friends, bobo and kevski and hopefully korean food :)
like butta, like prada.
whenever i make it to the motherland…san diego…chula vista specifically, i try to stop at my favorite thrift stores. this clutch was a purchase from my last visit and has to be one of my favorites in my mad mad mad world of a collection of handbags. “but this one is different”, explaining to my boyfriend why i needed it as i joyfully toted it around the store. clearly you can see the amazingness of the clutch…neutral color, pleated detailing and buttery soft leather so prada-esque. love. adore.
priceless.
so working for a luxury jewelry brand, i have amassed a collection of jewelry especially the ever so affordable sterling silver pieces, but these etsy indy designer rings are my favorite. a gift from my soljah of a sister, the rings are engraved with my triplet nieces’ names. yeah you heard me right, i said triplets :) my nieces are cuter than yours.
